should i have a talk with my boss about my bonous?

I would also ask your boss how he came to that amount, I do not know what type of company it is, but maybe like many others the company is not making what they normally would therefor they cannot afford to give out the same amount for bonuses this year. But dont let it bother you i would just go inquire to your boss why this is so. He may be expecting the question and answer pleasently, or he may not want to answer at all, but either way it is better do know as much about it as you can, and he may have some information that could also affect you in the future so I would absolutely ask him but i would do it in an inquisitive way, and not an accusing way...if that makes any sense lol.

you may talk to your boss and ask how they came up with that amount. let him explain how they computed it. then analyze . if you are still not satisfied with the amount, go and tell him. but for sure after your boss explain everything, you'll already realize that the amount is just right.
