pineapple upside down drink ingredients??

i was at this party and the bar tender at the open bar made me a pineapple upside down drink that tasted AWESOME!!! just like my moms pineapple upside down cake!! but i cant remember what the heck he put in it!! i was already a couple of drinks into the party by then haha.. i know there was vodka, pineapple juice, and a few other things but cant think of them!!
i looked it up in the bartenders guide i had but its not there. if you know the missing ingredients please tell me!! or any drink with pineapple juice and vodka..

Mmmm, that sounds yummy! Everything I found said it was just equal parts vanilla vodka and pineapple juice with a dash of grenadine. Sounds like my kind of drink!
Every time I have ever tried to duplicate a drink from a bar or restaurant it doesn't turn out. I don't know if it's because I use cheaper ingredients or because I use too heavy a hand with the booze.
