Rush Limbaugh Is An Oppinunated Fool

Here we go again, Rush Limbaugh sticks his foot in his mouth once again. Rush Limbaugh makes crude remarks about President Barack Obama, says that he wants him to fail. So one could guess that Rush Limbaugh is not a man who preaches peace or advocates it. Should he be taken off the air for his rude and brash comments?

Whereas, I would believe most things he says. Call me a fool! The content of his radio program has been proven to be 98% accurate. djbtol

I see where you stand where he is concerned. He is not someone I see as credible nor will anyone change my mind just as no one will change your mind.

I've never really been in to watching politic shows or what not. I find them annoying, no matter what side they are for. I did not vote for Obama, personally, but now that he's President I certainly wish him luck - it is not a job I would ever want. I think that saying you want the President to fail is a terrible thing to say, because if the President fails, where does that leave the rest of the country? We all fail. That doesn't seem like a good scenario to me.

As usual, Rush Limbaugh is right on the money. He is no opinionated fool. Rather, he is quite intelligent and loves this country more than Obama ever will. Liberals typically take the position that there should be no freedom of speech, unless you say what they want to here. By the way, communists are the same way. Many who criticize Rush, never even know what he said. In this case he is talking about Republicans who just sit back and say, I hope Obama is successful. If you are opposed to thinking, you can make a statement like that. If you are a thinking person, it is utterly ridiculous. When we know exactly what Obama stands for, and we know that it is the wrong way, then you do not want him to succeed. Here is the quote from Rush's website; "If I wanted Obama to succeed, I'd be happy the Republicans have laid down. And I would be encouraging Republicans to lay down and support him. Look, what he's talking about is the absorption of as much of the private sector by the US government as possible, from the banking business, to the mortgage industry, the automobile business, to health care. I do not want the government in charge of all of these things. I don't want this to work. So I'm thinking of replying to the guy, "Okay, I'll send you a response, but I don't need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails." (interruption) What are you laughing at? See, here's the point. Everybody thinks it's outrageous to say. Look, even my staff, "Oh, you can't do that." Why not? Why is it any different, what's new, what is unfair about my saying I hope liberalism fails? Liberalism is our problem. Liberalism is what's gotten us dangerously close to the precipice here. Why do I want more of it? I don't care what the Drive-By story is. I would be honored if the Drive-By Media headlined me all day long: "Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails." Somebody's gotta say it." It is good and right to say: I hope Obama fails! djbtol

Limbaugh has the right to free speech, but if the President fails, that leaves the rest of the country in trouble. Do you really want that? Don't think about it because you personally disagree with the current president, but think about the repercussions for our already troubled country.

Certainly I do not want our country to fail. I don't even want this 'crisis' we have been in the last few months. Neither are 'my political opinions' the important thing. I am not in politics, and other than voting and writing a few letters, there is not much I can do but sit back and watch. But the key point here is not me, neither is it Rush Limbaugh. There is an expectation abounding in our country that because Obama was elected, and he talks about hope and change, that everything is going to improve from hear on out. Just relax and let Obama fix the problems of our country. But Obama did not come into office as a blank slate. Obama has plenty of political history, and even though parts of that history remain hidden away, their is no doubt as to what his core beliefs and principles are. He is not going to chuck that core system; rather he is going to be driven by it. Whatever was said during the campaign is now worthless. This is a new day. Will Obama do what is best for the country? Yes, in his mind. Unfortunately, the ideas he has have never worked in this country or around the globe. He is going to take the train down a really nasty set of tracks and I do not know what the outcome will be. djbtol

I rated your comment discussion as positive, due to having respect for what you posted, and taking the time to write this post. This is what makes America great, even if we disagree we have to have respect for one another's opinions and beliefs. Now saying that, most Americans have faith that President Obama will get this country moving in the right direction - with the help of people who have the courage to move past their indifferences. And as far as Rush Limbaugh bashing President Obama, it is child's play to speak of a man's morales and contributions to his country, this was one of the reasons he was immediately removed from being a spokesman for the NFL when he made a very negative quote about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.

He earns his living that way. Remember when he had his countdown clock for Clinton? I do, I used to watch his tv once in a blue moon when I was very bored, maybe 5 to 6 minutes at a time, it took me that long to find something better to do. LOL

I'm not sure that he was serious in his statement. I think he is making a statement about those who wanted Bush to fail. Those who attempted to sabotage his presidency. That would just be my guess from what I know of Rush. You have to read between the lines with him.

He should not be taken off the air. Freedom of speech protects speech you don't like, not speech you do like. You have to stand up for every type of speech, or else who is gonna stand up for you when your views are seen as unpopular...

I don't believe Rush should be taken off the air for his opinions, even though I disagree with this particular statement. Simply turn the dial.
