How to get rid of the thick hard skin?

Several years ago, after an infection on the leg, the skin started to get hard and whatever the doctor prescribed does not seem to help a bit. The hard skin is getting thicker and darker. No chance of wearing skirt any more.
Any advice? and thanks in advance.

I think you should see a specialist regarding that matter, I think a dermopathologist would do. It might be other problem which is not due to the previous infection you had in your leg. other problems like scleroderma, parasitic infections, and other skin or systemic problems that could affect our skin, that a specific treatment is needed other than putting emolients on it.
