How long do you wait before you buy a new cell phone?

I have noticed that I end up buying a new cell phone about once every year and a half. It seems like they are always comming up with some new feature that I want or a prettier phone. Also I have done things like drop them to many times or even in the toliet. My last one I talked so much on it that I just kept going through batteries and it wouldnt keep a charge. I think I finally found a good phone this time at least until i find the exact same phone in pink. (Just kidding)
