Your country's cultures and beliefs regarding love, relationships and women.

I've been fond of reading sociology way back since my college years. It usually talks of people in different cultures, beliefs and other ways of life and living int he different countries. Some country are indulge with huge freedom with regards to making decisions on every aspects of their life, Women are in the lowest in the social stratification and with less privileges, and engage into premarital arrangement. Mine is a democratic country, we have the freedom to choose, to vote, and to deicide in every aspects of our lives, although some in places still do the traditional practices. Could you share also some cultures and beliefs in your place?
