I have lived on my own now for 7 years and sometimes wish that I was still a little girl living at home, things are so hard living on your own. Its nice to be able to set your own rules but I barely make the house payment and the utilities every month. It was so much easier living at home with the support of your parents instead of having to do it all yourself. Growing up everyone I knew was like oh your gonna love living on your own its a blast but in reality it is nice at times but most of the time it is just a struggle. How do you feel about living on your own is it all it was made out to be?

Shortly after I turned eighteen I moved into a place with a friend of mine. We soon recruited two other friends to move in with us, and what started as a party ended up being a disaster. I would never want to live with friends again. Now I have my husband and we live with his parents, not on our own yet. Though I've been out on my own and have had that experience, I am still not very confident in some of the financial aspects of things, so while there are times I want to get out, I realize that my husband and I both have it good living here. We're saving for a lot of things, and one of those things is a place of our own. We plan to rent a place, and possibly a rent to own place. We will be taking care of both sets of our parents in their senior years, so that will be a stressor, especially with one set of parents living separate, and in a different county then my husband and I live now. Now as for your question, living on my own with friends seemed like a piece of cake and lots of fun at first, but then reality hit, and well it ended up not being as fun as it was made to be.
