Protien after a workout

I have been doing some form of exercise most of my adult life. For MANY years I walked 3 miles every day, it would take me almost an hour to take my walk. Recently I started using our Eliptical machine because it's too cold out to walk. I've been following up my exercise session with a rehydrating drink, similar to Gatoraide. Today I decided to add a protien drink to my regimine. It only makes sense to do this to get better use of my workout. Do you take in extra protien after your workout? Have you found it to be helpful?

Yes. Actually it is recommended that we take protein after every workout. It is for the recovery of our muscles. I noticed that whenever I eat protein after working out i don't feel too much sore on my muscles.

I noticed that I feel much better afterwards also.
