LOL. just want to know your preference. when i was a kid, i have always been a Sustagen Kid but since it got expensive, my mom decided to shift me to Milo. at first, she tried ovaltine but it's too sweet for me. and i settled good with Milo. not only it helps me in a way, but i also find it good when to comes to doing "popo" everyday. lol

now, it's time for everyone to know how weird my preferences are. i loved sustagen when i was little. but i drank it too much (without rinsing my mouth) that i started having tonsillopharyngitis all the time. so my love affair with sustagen ended... :( years after, my mom introduced milo. i didn't love it as much as sustagen. but i discovered that i loved it when i mixed its powder form with rice! now if you think that's weird, read on. i then discovered ovaltine in school. but it wasn't in powder form. i started to buy ovaltine tablets and i loved them as well. so, to answer your question, i will have to ask... with rice, as a candy, or as a drink? ;o

wow. that's new for me. mixed the powder with rice? not champorado? sometimes, i mix milo with my oatmeal. yes, i have ovaltine candies too. but i am not fond of it. i find it too sweet. as for your question - um, overall? ahahahaha!! milo has a cereal too but never tasted it yet.

yes, with rice. sometimes i mix rice with powdered milk. and yes, it's not champorado or oatmeal; just plain rice. hehe. i do have a sweet tooth, which is why i like ovaltinees (did i spell it right?).

wow. lol. with plain rice? that i could not picture myself with but instead i think i am more weird than you. i am the Miss Ketchup of our family. one time, when i failed to cooked an "ulam" for me, i decided to pour a del monte ketchup in my rice (plain rice too like what you did with your milo and rice) - a cousin who saw the whole thing while i was busy eating my rice with ketchup - she have this yucky expression in her face that i laughed so hard. anyway, i hope there's nothing wrong with us. but at least, we are unique in a way. ahahahahaha!!!

Hi totallyundecided, I like Sustagen as well especially its unique and aromatic smell. Yeah, it’s rather expensive so I seldom get it anymore. I still remember I took it daily when I had the ache on the back part of my right foot palm. The pain had gone after two weeks or so. I wonder whether the ache was gone for other reasons or because of taking the same drinks which was rich in multi vitamins and minerals constantly for a fortnight or so. Before taking this I had taken medicines from a couple of doctors. I even took Chinese herbal soup for several days and this caused the tiny rashes on the skin of my whole body. I had experienced an awesome itchiness for a few days. I was allergy to these herbal most probably I prefer to take Milo and I like to take thick Milo without any sugar added to it. It would taste more delicious if a table spoon full of milk creamer is stirred with it. Sometimes I stir it with my mug of hot fragrant coffee. It’s a healthy beverage so I would like to take it frequently to keep my body fit and energetic. The hot coffee would be more delicious if a couple of teaspoons full of Sustagen cream powder are added to it. Both hot and iced Milo are delicious respectively. Happy posting and have a nice day.

You are really an outgoing and lively gal! And just look like that lovely image in your avatar. Yeah, a caring mom would always concern and love her kid and she knows you eating habit very well, that’s why she insists to get you the cheapest sustagen. There is chocolate flavor sustagen available in the market here, anyway I prefer to take the one without chocolate and very often I like to stir my cup of milo with a tablespoon of sustagen. It’s really cool. I agree that oatmeal plus milo is the best combination too. It would be more delicious to have oatmeal with both milo and sustagen added to it as well. I would have this as my breakfast if I’m really in a hurry Thanks a lot for your warm and kind concern totallyundecided, I no longer have the ache on my foot anymore for quite a long time. Really calcium tablet is quite good for the health of a woman. Few years back I found that pillow that caused ache on the back. I have two pillows. One of them is softer and I don’t sleep on the particular one. If I feel uncomfortable I would shift to the other one or sleep without pillow. Since then I don’t have any ache on my back again. So you could tell her to try using different types of pillows or sleep without pillow to see whether this would work or not. Take care and have a nice day.

lol. that's funny and ironic because i do it too - like mixed a a spoonful of milo if even i'll have coffee on that day. =) whenever my mom visits me, she usually insist on buying me the cheapest Sustagen for she knows I am a Sustagen kid but i, too, always insisted that for practical reasons, Milo is fine and it can't be as rich as the sustagen but it helps me in way. most especially when i don't eat breakfast. oatmeal and milo are one of the best combinations i have - plus the fibers they have that keeps me fit in my everyday activities. did you try having a back massage? maybe it could soothe and help a little with your footache. my mom has prblems like that too but it's on her back. she takes calcium vitamins everyday now. thank you for taking time in reading my discussion. =)) hope everything is well with you. =)

I've never heard of Milo but uh, maybe that's because it's not a US brand or something? I never really prefered Ovaltine that much though, maybe you should send over that Milo so I can do a taste test!!

well, i'm starting to appreciate orange nowadays. for me, orange is the new black that's why i can roll with orange shirts, orange shoes, and orange jackets. in the words of my office mates, "ponkan na ponkan"!!! them haters can't carry orange in their wardrobe even if their lives depended on it. losers!!!

My mom usually prefer to buy Ovaltine that's why I am a an Ovaltine Kid. We don't find Milo that tasty like Ovaltine. I sometimes taste Milo like i am eating soil when it dissolves and goes down the bottom of the glass. I sometimes eat ovaltine, and i like ovaltinees, the round chocolate candy that they have. Even if i am already an adult, i still like the taste of Ovaltine.

Yes we drink Milo in preference to Ovaltine and that is because if we had anything like that when I was younger, it was generally either cocoa or Milo. In actual fact it really did depend on what was on special/sale as the cost was really the determining factor in what my Mum bought. With 4 growing boys money was always tight in our home but my parents insisted on certain things and one of those was we had a hot milk drink every night before we went to bed. We were lucky as we had our own house cow so milk was in plentiful supply because without that I doubt if we would have any additives to the milk. These days I do not drink a lot of milk but when I do, it is 97% fat free and so adding something like Milo sort of defeats the purpose of the fat free milk. We do keep a small tin of Milo though for when the grandchildren come for a visit as that is one of the “treats” that we give them while they are with us. In fact they know where it is kept and so even the youngest one who is 2 goes straight for the tin saying “dink dink”. Did you know that the same company makes both Milo and Sustagen? That's my piece of useless information for the day.

lol. it's not useless at all! i was a sustagen kid before i shifted to milo. and they are made by the same company. cool. =)

wahahhaha!this is a very hilarious discussion because you mentioned "popo",hehehe!.Well, I prefer Milo because it is manufactured by nestle my favorite food brand, joke!kidding aside, I love Milo because the taste is super delicious and just right, not too sweet, not too chocolate. I loved its strand because very smooth compared to ovaltine. I feel satisfied after drinking Milo and help improved my energy level and stamina, it can cure hunger pangs also.

Hi, KC what is up with this choco issue? LOl! I want to eat powdered Ovaltine. And I like it better than Milo as a drink. I dunno what's with Milo. Every after drinking it, I just feel like running to the nearest restroom. Milo is tastier but Ovaltine is milder to my stomach. It's probably the malt. I dunno.
• Philippines
10 Feb 09
lol. just a discussion though. no personal issues. ahahaha!! but you have health issues. it seems that you're a milo intolerant - i mean your stomach is. =) don't drink milo. you might end allergic to it. lol. =)))

Hi and hello to all my co-mylot members here in the Philippines. . . Well this is my response to the topic about "Milo or Ovaltine". That two delicious drinks was really good because of it's chocolate taste and energy vitamins that it give to the body of the one who drink this. . . Well if ever i have a chance to make a choice in what is more delicious is it milo or ovaltine? I will choose Milo because the taste of it is really awesome and i guess it is more popular that's why many people will also the same with me when making a choice about that! Well that's the end of my response to this topic entitled "MILO and Ovaltine". . . Thank you very much! ! !
