When you make a pizza from fresh ingredients rather than purchase a pizza from a restaurant - can you taste the difference? I can! The pizza dough is much better and the vegetables are more tastier. The meats aren't as greasy and the cheese is more stringy. I am wondering if anyone else can tell me their pizza eating experience dealing with homemade pizza verses the restaurant pizza. Please share!

One thing I like about homemade pizza is I can make a whole-wheat crust with more whole-wheat fiber than I can find in other pizzas. Most of the pizzas for sale in fast food or in grocery store freezers are bleached white flour bases, with sparse ingredients on the top. I make mine whole-wheat on top of a cornmeal dusted pan, with plenty of sauce and lots of onions, peppers, and mushrooms. The cheese I use depends on my diet at the time.

I agree, the fast food and grocery store pizza's do use bleached flour which by the way is not good for you. I use unbleached flour but to make a whole wheat pizza dough pizza sounds delicious!
