Ubuntu 8.10 or Windows Vista

I would say that I prefer Ubuntu because I like Linux or any UNIX like operating system. I can download Ubuntu freely from the internet but I have to buy Windows Vista unless I get it from torrent which is illegal. When installing Ubuntu I don't have to install driver because Ubuntu will install all the driver needed for my system but for Windows Vista I have to install my sound card, video and network card driver before I can use it. The only thing Ubuntu do is play my favorite games.

I have both windows Vista and Ubuntu 8.10. Basic difference is Windows Vista you have to pay for it and Ubuntu is free of cost. Secondly in terms of hardware needed for Vista and Ubuntu. Ubuntu requires less memory as compared to vista. Third after vista you have to install many software such as Zip Utility, Office and mainly a good antivirus. With Ubuntu no need to install any of these software as they comes with Ubuntu. Even when talking about GUI, install Compiz on Ubuntu, I u will get the effect of using Aero. And all this free of cost. You dont even have to pay a single penny.

^_^ Howdy!.... sossiax!.... If I have Windows Vista already installed in a computer, I will still install and use Ubuntu on the same computer. Ubuntu is always free and its for all who love linux functionalities. Must have 1 to 2 and 4 is the maximum gigs of ram to use effectively Windows Vista. In Ubuntu its from 512mb to more than a gig of ram. ^_^ Enjoy!....

i am lover of LINUX so i prefer to Ubuntu. I dout why should we buy VISTA while Ubuntu is available for free. Even Ubuntu can give better working perfomance and security than VISTA. Ubuntu can run fine on a system low configuration but give the best graphic interface.

i recommended ubuntu. its simple and best, easy to work and much faster than vista.windows is no more easy to use.it is very lazy.ubuntu is free and that makes it the first thing to opt.ubuntu 8.10 is a prize for those linux lovers.
