Weight Loss

I'm always been a woman of extra weight. And it has always been a hassle to get the excess weight off. Now I feel as though the harder I try to lose the weight, the harder it becomes. I have tried: Exercise, Green tea, cut sugar out of my life, don't drink soda, and eating healthier. I honestly don't know what else I can do. Has anyone been in the same situation as me? And if so, has anyone been successful? Because I am more more active now than I have been. And I feel once I can keep the weight off for good, maybe my self esteem could get better. Maybe I can finally look into the mirror and say.. "WOW girl, you look good" Instead of covering my mirrors. Thanks ahead of time for all your comments!

I have been obese for a good portion of my life. Tried many diets, even lost a little weight on my own through exercise. And I have finally found a way that works. Weightwatchers works. I have lost 24 pounds so far. My sister has lost over 70 pounds on weightwatchers. I have been on the program since October and my sister has been on it over a year. So you can keep on it long term and it does work.

Weight Watchers is not a temporary method. They teach you how to change your life so that you can eat healthy and maintain a healthy weight. Its not a diet. Its a lifestyle change.

Congrats on you and your sis on your success! I always wanted to know about Weight watchers. But I wasn't sure if I was ready to spend that much money on it. A few of my friends has tried Atkins but a couple has actually gotten sick from it. 2 people I know tried South Beach but only 1 has been successful. But since I've know about the success between you and your sister, I would like to look into weight watchers. Thanks for the tip. -Giggles

I am also currently trying to lose weight and like you I am hoping that it helps my self-esteem. I've been on my current weight loss program for a little over a week. I have lost 5 pounds and I'm so happy about it. Basically, I've tried to cut back high calorie and high fat meals. I normally eat a bowl of Special K for breakfast or an apple, for lunch I have a turkey with mustard sandwich on wheat bread and cottage cheese with peaches or pineapples. For dinner, I have been eating either a salad with fat free dressing, a bowl of Special K, low calorie soup, or a low calorie stir fry. I exercise atleast 30 minutes every day and I drink ONLY WATER! I can't stress how much water helps when trying to lose weight. I've also been trying this too. It is a mixture I drink before bed and 30 minutes before I eat breakfast. You take on cup of water and bring it to a boil. Pour it in a half teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Let it cool for 30 minutes and had 1 teaspoon of honey, stir and drink half of it. Cover the other half and put it in the refrigerator. In the morning, 30 minutes before you eat drink the rest of the mixture. You don't heat it back up, drink it cold or set it out and let it get room temperature. It doesn't taste the greatest, but I heard that it helped lose weight and at this point, I'm willing to try anything. Good luck with you weight loss! I hope both of us can do it!

wtg on losing 5lbs! I drink a lot of water, and I usually drink a glass before dinner to help feel full. Which is still kinda weird because I hardly get hungry to begin with, usually when I think I'm hungry, it's because I'm just thirsty. That's an interest concoction you mentioned there, I'm willing to try anything. Other concoctions I've heard of is: Boiling water in a large pot with 30 orange peels and make a pitcher of it. Put in fridge and drink a cup before each meal. Pickle juice - drink 1-2 glasses daily... I like pickles but can't down the juice. I wish you the best of luck and keep me posted on your outcome.

Firstly your overcautiousness creates you to put on more weight, Every morning as soon as you get up in quarter glass hot boiling water pour half teaspoon honey and drink it then start the day. Do not skip your meal or dinner eat a good meal and do not sleep immediately after eating give a gap of half an hr. to 1 hr. of sleeping or even sitting after meals take a half an hr. brisk walk every morning and evening atleast for a month continously try this and you will see the change
