I'm glad you liked it. Not many in the West know India's story and history, but our TV has had a good documentary on called the history of India. I've enjoyed it and I hope more people will know about your country from looking at this show.

India's National Flag - National Flag was hoisted in our apartments today.
Thanks for congratulating Indians on India's 60th Republic Day being celebrated today, 26th January 2009. I am an Indian and feel very proud on this day. We celebrated this day in our apartments, as Sports Day. National Flag, Tricolour, was hoisted and National Anthem was sung. Then sports started. There was joy all around. Function was attended by children, young people and senior citizens.

Congrats you and all the Indians on your nation's 60th Republic Day.India is passing 62 years of independence.Still there is social discriminations.A big part of vast population of India are low cast Hindus. They are being opperessed by the higher cast Hindus. This is one kind racism. When this will be abolished India will be really great.

Hearty congrats and best wishes to all citizens of this great country ,INDIA. A little while ago i was watching the Republic Day parade and seeing the smartly marching and smartly turned out jawans of the Army, Navy and Air Force my heart swelled with pride and emotion. The sacrifice that these brave soldiers do inorder to protect our nation from enemy and terrorist attacks cannot be put into words. I salute these gallant soldiers who lay down their precious lives for the sake of the country. Let us all make a pledge today that we will all stand united and fight as one people against the forces who want to divide our country in terms of religion, caste, language and creed.Let us also unite and fight to remove all corruption and only vote for those who will promise and work for a clean administration, betterment of the people and all round development so that we can truly say Mera Bharat Mahaan. JAI HIND! JAI HIND! JAI HIND! VANDE MATARAM!

hi dear thanks for joining mylot and for responding to this discussion. you are perfectly ok when you show your concern. today while watching tv i observed that people are not aware about the difference in independence day and republic day. they can not tell the difference between ashok chakra and veer chakra tc. we must involve ourselves and our younger generation into functions of national importance!!
