What's up with Prince having his videos removed from youtube?

This seem to have happened in 2007, but I just found out this past week, as I was looking for the video of the song that Hillary Swank sings on the karaoke bar on the movie P.S. I love you. That's just stupid! He planned on sueing youtube for using his videos. What's on his mind? He doesn't want to be famous anymore? He should have thought about that when he first started out singing! By the way the name of the song is "get off". I liked it when she was singing it on the movie, but didn't like it too much when he was singing it, the screaming at the beginning is kind of scary.
