how to bring traffic to your blog????

as i have heard that you can earn through g@@gle adsense program and u just need a blog that has traffic to it. well, i have my blog since the start of the year.. what i do is that i go to forums and help other people at the same time i tell them to visit my blog, which many users that i've help visit my site.. and then i joined it to traffic exchanges like freetrafficworld and easyhits4u.. right now i am near in getting 1000 impressions... if you want you could take a look at my blog.. the link is in my profile..
