why friendster is so popular?

You are right. Many people prefer friendster because it's so easy to do things there - from creation of profile, customizing pages, uploading of pics, making friends, etc... I know someone new to computer and internet who learned to navigate inside friendster so handily. But he is got lost when I invited him to join other sites. Aside from the user-friendly features, Friendster is already translated to different languages which makes it more easier to use. Of course, it is so much fun to others watching the featured members, most friendly member, etc... And right now, the site has a section for job searching.

Friendster is so popular because lots of teenagers hang around there with their own language version. That is whay facebook also tends to attracts new members by offering multi-language version. I found it is a new trend for one social networking to boosts up their number of members. Same thing to Platinum Lounge offering the same pattern and formation of extra service.
