Suggestions for Flooring material

I have been very lucky that my parents are building me a house.Its under construction and i want to know what would be the best flooring materail for the house.I cheked out on few vetrified tiles and grantite tiles.I thought i would go for granite tiles but some frens suggested that vetrified tiles are more durable and now i am totally lost which material to go for.
can anyone of you suggest which would be ideal..for drawing room,kitchen,dining & lounge and bedroom also.. bathroom.

It would be fun to look at the different tiles available for flooring. Even though I would prefer wood tiles I would still go for tiles that are easy to clean. Cheers!!

Thanks for sharing.wooden tiles sounds like maintainence would be a problem.I live in India n naver heard of one though.YEs, ill check out more tiles
