Shopping when depressed.!

for a couple of days ago I went online to make some clohte shopping. I like shopping online, it is easy to get them home to your doors. It is really god to have the opportunity to do so when you do not have time for shopping in town. My son was a bit depressed and he felt a need for some new clothing. The site I use for shopping online had a big sale. So we went in to take a peak of what they had to offer. He got two sweeters, and one couple of trousers. After we done the shopping, he felt a bit better.
I usually do no shopping when depressed, since you tend to by things you do not need. But since he really was in need for new stuff i thought it might ligten him up.
What about You, do you shopp when You are depressed, do you feel better after done it?

Yes, I admit I do like to shop when I'm depressed. And it is usually online. I can't afford to really do that, so sometimes when I feel like shopping, I simply go get me a soda and some gummi bears. LOL I know, I know. But it does cheer me up. My tendency is to buy books when I'm "shopping" through a depression.

I have decided it wasn't a good idea for me to go shopping when I get depressed. I end up spending too much money LOL. I shreaded my credit card just for that issue, so I am not tempted to shop when I get depressed instead I spend time here and writing stories to help my depression now.

Well, it sounds better writing and earning instead of spending in a shop. Great that Mylot can help in so many different ways, for me it helps reducing my smoking habbits. Mylot is shore god for anyone who likes to spend some time with the keyboard. No more misstakes with creditcards, it sound really great. That give the credit card holders less money to use for their winning.

I can't really shop when i am depress... because i cannot afford that... but i do go to the mall and look at the clothes... and just look... and i do not buy... but if i do... i might feel more depress because i would think that i could have use the money for thing that we really need...

There is many different type of people around the world. And, yes ofcourse is not a god advice to go around and spend money on things you really do not need, when the money are needed for more important things. Yesterday, I read about a woman playing bingo and she lost about 400 000 sek. Now, she is have a huge problem to pay it back.
That is shore depressing. But playing games for money is shore away to get addicted, the hopes to really win big time. I rather enjoy those programs where people win money for what they know and have learned at school and in the real life. That is more rewarding since the likely to win in games where you invest money is rare.
At least my son was happy for some time after we had done the shopping, knowing that he will have his own favorite clothing can make a difference.

I wish I can go shopping! I am a stay at home mom so I don't have the money to go shopping

I when having money it is easier and more fun to shop. And it can shore be depressing not be able to shop becouse of the lack of money. He just asked me, do we afford it, and my response was yes we do. I do not spend money on things I do not need, make up and jewerly is on that list. Sorry.

wow, i love shopping, especially when i get depressed and strees and also have many money hihihii, after i spent my money to shop, i feel happy hihihi, but when i dont have a lot of money, to reduce my stress i just walking around at mall, see nice thing there and do not buy them :)

Hi ryuvinta, welcome to mylot and thanks for responding. It´for shore easier to shop when you have money, but if you have money your should not be spending them to much, it might be god to save for later. However, he really needed the clothing, and I sometimes am to sneaky with the money. I thought he might lighten up a bit and it helped. Now, he will has his favorites of clothes refreshed again.
