What kind of dog would you get?

My fiance and I have decided to save another dog from a humane society, or a shelter. We already have two large breed dogs, but are more then welcome to open our homes to another lost puppy. We're debating on what kind of breed we should get since we have a rottweiler, and a pit bull right now. We have raised them both since they were born. We defianlty want a puppy so we are able to train him our way. And it defiantly has to be male, because we have two male dogs now. So what do you think is the best dog to get? Any suggestions on what to do when getting a new dog?
