your most extravagant purchase ever

the most expensive thing that i have ever purchased with my own money is the fifth book of the harry potter series. i bought it when i was in highschool, and i really saved up my allowance to be able to afford it. i bought it when we went to a mall for our high school field trip.
how about you? what is your most extravagant purchase ever?

I think that the greatest thing I've spent on would have to be my notebook-and-fountain-pen collection. The fountain pens cost Php200 on the average, and sometimes the notebooks can go from Php180 to Php550. It's still growing, so there's no quantifiable amount on how much I've spent on it. I'm not going to stop collecting them though.

My computer and software for it - I always spend a lot of money to make sure I have the latest and greatest o=in performance.

probably the most expensive thing i bought was my first hdtv. i spent about $500 on a 32" hdtv when i barely had the money to pay for it. so i had to use my credit card and after a month, it was all paid off. hopefully i wont have to spend that much in one day again
