This is terrible. Some men just barged into a pub where girls were having a drink or two and started beating them. They felt the girls were immoral for sitting in a pub and drinking with friends. It boils my blood. They are worse than hooligans and they claim to be morally fit to sit in judgement of others. The police have taken action, but then who the heck are they. They must be more immoral in their actions then the girls who sat and had a drink. What say ??

The culture that is existing in this country is the Indian culture. But slowly but surely westernism is getting popular. For some people, girls drinking in a pub is an unimaginable thing. Those fellows who reacted in a wild manner were wrong in doing so.There is no law telling anybody not to drink. If at all there is any law, only the police is supposed to take action. But another truth is that most of the men in India doesn't like his sister, mother or wife drinking although that doesn't justify the Manglore incident. The thing about cultural assimalition is to take whatever is good from other cultures and discard the bad. Drinking among men is considered bad in cultured societies. Then what will be the case with women.

This type of behaviour just smacks of trying to get undue publicity. Actually I do not see how drinking among men is considered bad in cultured societies. It is those very socities which promote equality amongst sexes. If you dont like your family drinking, ok, but you cant take law in your own hands where other families are concerned. I just hope they get punished really bad. This must stop.

Those people are so weird. They form a "moral" group when what they do is not even "morally correct" they should take social studies for crying out loud. Part of being moral is to be good. Hurting others is not good. They are more like a cult to me. If they hurt people whom they think are immoral.

I agree, they are like a cult. They should be banished and punished. Nobody has the right to hurt anybody, whether they agree with your views or not. Its a shame and yes, they themselves are immoral.

Has this happened in India? Who were responsible for such insane behaviour? In western culture it is acceptable that a woman can enter a pub and order a drink without being punished or frowned upon. I don't think that anybody has the right to beat another person.

Yes, it happened in India and for the first time too. Never has any moral group done such a thing. If they dont like their family members drinking, its ok. Why force your will on others. Its insane. They are at the moment in custody, but for how long is anybodys question. The top brass may go scot free. Its a shame and every sensible minded person has protested.

I've never heard of anything like that happening before! Even if you believe that drinking is immoral, you have no right to be immoral in trying to stop it. I hope they were thrown in jail!

Oh yes, they are in police custody, but will most probably the top brass will go scot free as they are a political organisation. Its a shame. They behave immorally and expect others to obey their dictates. Its a wait and watch now.

If boys can drink in a pub why should not the girls! Those who beat the girls without knowing any thing they are not normal persons. The question of morality is only not for the girls. It applies to men also.Beating some one is not the moral behavior. To judge all the circumstances is moral behavior. Those who break this they are more immoral.Thanks.

I dont know why these stupid men did that. Today in this age where a woman works and there is equalitay of sexes, where women work shoulder to shoulder with men to make ends meet, this type of behaviour is disgraceful. Nobody has any right to dictate terms to how another should live. Yes, they are the immoral ones for beating up a woman.
