Who's had a child that you gave up for adoption?

I did. I had a son 19 years ago that I gave up for adoption! The other day I get a letter from him with a photo! I knew he was looking for me! Anyway I'm full of emotions! I do want to meet him! He want s to meet me! I can e-mail,write or call him! Not yet! This just happened! I need to let it sink in! I will contact him soon but by e-mail! My phone later on! So now I'm thinking things like will he like me? What is going to think when he sees me? Will we become close? Will this work out! What if it does not? There are other questions to numeruos to write! Aty first this wasn't bothering me! Now it is! Alot of this is normal! I hope I don't go crazy over this! I would like to hear from people have done this besides me! I also don't regret putting my son up for adoption!

Depends on what the reasons were that you gave him for adoption... If it was a matter of you not being able to bring him up properly but still wanted the best for him and so gave him to someone who could do something better, then I guess he will understand and like you. But if you just "got rid" of him because you didn't consider yourself ready, although you would have had no problems to bring him up properly or because you just didn't like kids, I guess it would have been fair for him to hate you.
