Super bowl

I just heard that a the USA Super Bowl is being broadcast in 34 different languages and that a touchdown is called a touchdown in all of them. Do you find that interesting?

Wow I didn't know anyone else cared about the superbowl except for America! lol But that is really cool. And I'm just guessing but I think the sport made up the word touchdown. So to me it just makes since that other launguges would just adopt this word since they don't already have a word like it.

It makes since since it is a American sport - Is there such a thing as a touchdown in any other sport? I am sure they did not have a word for it already - Might as well call it Touchdown. And if they have a world football league - A lot of people in the world enjoy the sport. Thanks for the trivia tho...

I do find that interesting. I had no idea it was broadcast in so many different languages though.
