So last night I cooked for my bf for the first time. I made steak, mashed potatoes, and a small salad. The thing is I plan to do it again but he only says surprise me when I ask what he'd like to eat. I've got a week before it's my turn to cook again so I was hoping some mylotters would have some great recipes.

there are a ton of great sites out there. www.allrecipes.com www.foodnetwork.com www.cooks.com just to know a few. When ya'll go out to dinner what does he normally order. Is he a meat and potatoes kinda guy or is he adventurous and like to try new things? Spaghetti or Lasagna are always good hits if you take a lil time to prepare them right. Some fresh garlic bread and a nice salad. Anything grilled, since he is a guy.. RIBS.. need I say more. or a big juicey well flavored hamburger. Get a good quality ground beef 1 lb to 1.5 lbs should be good lb of bacon chop it up in small pieces and fry... like making bacon bits. mix into the ground beef add 1 egg 1-2 tablespoons whisticher sauce... (I hate that word) chop up 5-6 green onions and mix in 1/2 pack of lipton onion soup mix 1 teaspoon minced garlic salt and pepper mix all ingredients together and make man size burgers get some good quality buns maybe from a local deli thick sliced cheese... deli again and top however you like or he likes Onions... fresh or grilled lettuce... green leaf or boston are really good! Thick sliced tomatoes pickles slaw chili avacados bacon The options are endless. Have fun... A way to a mans heart is through his stomach.. :D

You could do a basic curry Fry some onions, garlic, mushrooms and chicken chunks, then add curry powder, a bit of yogurt and some tinned tomatoes. It's a really nice dish and it's simple to do.
