The wireless connection for Xbox

I have Xbox 360 in the livingroom. The wireless rounter is at my bedroom. Now I want to try the online games as it will be much more interesting to play it with someone else rather than playing it alone. But I don't want to use a wire to connect to internet since it is so troublesome. Shall I buy a wireless network card? But it seems it needs to install the drive software so that it can run. That means to say that maybe I shall buy a wirelss network card which it doesn't need to install the drive software so that it may work for my Xbox?
