i am often told by older married women that cheating on the hubby's part is inevitable in marriage. i hope this is not true to all marriages. :-(

till now, this is not true in my marriage. My hubby is rather blind and oblivious to the feminine charm and its quite a surprise that he did end up having a love marriage. Most women don’t interest him or even if they do, it’s a rather clinical observation than a romantic one. Sometimes I feel he’s abnormal, sometimes I think he’s faking it…I dunno.

It is not true of all married men, although a lot of them do cheat on their wives. It all depends on the person and how the relationship with their spouse is going. Almost all, if not all, men fantasize about having an affair but not all of them feel compelled to act the fantasy out.

If you want the truth, men in relationships do have fantasies of being with other women. These are simply fantasies but they do go on in men's heads. But as for actually cheating, that's another matter. It does happen, but its not "inevitable"; not every man is unfaithful. Examine your own relationship with your husband. Has he expressed dissatisfaction with your marriage or any part of your relationship either emotionally or sexually? Has shown any kind of behavior suggesting that he's seeing other women? Ultimately its up to both of you to keep the lines of communication open. Don't shy from asking questions or any answers he gives you.
