Whoever out there is from Iowa, could you please tell me exactly where the University of Iowa is located and if it's a nice campus or not, I'm thinking of attending a writer's workshop through the university.....Thanks.

Hi, friend. The U of Iowa is in Iowa City, a nice-sized town about 20 miles south of Cedar Rapids. I didn't go to school there, but I grew up in Cedar Rapids, so I've been there often. The campus is spread out a lot, and I've heard it's a little cold walking from place to place in the wintertime. It is an excellent school, though, and I'm sure taking a workshop there would be a great experience. I've known a lot of people who went to college there, and they all received excellent educations. Good professors, too.

That is excellent feedback, exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you so much for your help!! Is it a nice area too, as far as the people, environment?

Yes, it's pretty laid back and quiet here too. We live out in a more country like area with farms and ranches near by, but Denver isn't too far and we're close to the major highway too. I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area, so I'm familiar with big city life, but the quiet areas suit me best.......Thanks!
