For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cole water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal. A serious note about heart attacks-You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

i also got an email stating these things you mentioned. i asked a wellness professional about it, and she said that drinking cold water does not solidify the oil or fats that we have consumed. our stomach has a certain temperature and everything that we intake, whether cold or hot, doesn't affect the temperature in our stomachs. so i guess there's no truth to this circulating email.

Thanks for your kind reminding. I prefer hot or warm water even in hot summer. Its not healthy to drink cold water after meals, esp.if you had too much oily or spicy food. Healthier we are, happier we will be.

Thank you for the tip on cold water. It makes a lot of sense. I can attest to the warning signs of heart trouble sometimes starting in the jaw. This is what happened to my husband. He did not have a heart attack, but he had a blockage in his left main artery also known as the widow maker. His only symptoms were pains in his jaws when he ran, rode his bike or played tennis. Those little pains in his jaws resulted in a double bypass operation.
