Do you think you could lose weight by a diet

More and more women are having a diet now. In order to lose weight we try everyting we could. To be honest, I found it is useless. Have you lost weight by carrying a diet before? Does it works?

I lost 30 pounds on the Atkins diet once. But I also walked everyday for a few miles. I have lost weight just by not eating much and walking miles a day about 20 pounds that time and I most recently lost 20 pounds from walking and adding yogurt to my regular diet. So I would say the walking is what helps the most.

i will eat a lot of fruit. and eat less meat, drink a lot of water, eat a lot of vegetables and eat less oil. sometimes i eat less bread , and drink a lot of soup. except the exercise , i found i lost some weight.
