I always wear my seat belt and my children do also. I would never let anyone in the car not wear a seat belt its just not safe and its also illegal in most states. I wouldn't take the chance you never know when you may get into an accident. Be careful there's crazy drivers out there.

hi annji you got it right .. seat belts are important , sometimes parents ignore them as they believe nothing will happen .. so many times i have seen fathers especially holding their baby in their laps while their hands are on the steering .. they dont seem to think what if the baby slipped , are you going to rush to catch the baby or concentrate on the road ... please wear the seat belt it is for our own safety cheers

I always buckle up. In our state, it's the law. But I feel safer with it on so I always buckle. I don't have any little children but when my older kids are with me I tell them to buckle too. But they normally do it on their own anyways.

As I am unmarried, I don't have children, But, I know the importance of wearing the seat belt as it matters a lot for me. I myself wear the seat belt when I drive or sit in the car.

I wear my seat belt all the time. This is to make sure that i am setting a good example. I make sure that the children that i had in my car always have their seatbelt on. My fiance did it once not wearing a seat belt after i had asked him too. Guess what, He got a ticket for it and it wasn't cheap. WEaring seat belt saves lives

I do think that seat belts do save your life. I read a story of a baby whoseparents were involved in a car accident and their toddler just few out of the windscreen with tragic outcome. If only the toddler was eearing a seatbelt.... it could have had a different ending.

Yes, I make sure to buckle up my kids and myself when we go anywhere in our vehicle. My husband also buckles up, as well. Not only is it to protect us in an accident, it is the law where I live. If you get caught without wearing one you will have to pay a hefty fine. I understand that seatbelts don't always protect us and can actually do more harm than good, but in most circumstances this isn't usually the case. So I will continue to wear mine.

I have always been for safety so I never forget to put the seatbelt whenever I ride the car. More especially if we have children on board. I've heard many accidents involving people who do not use seatbelts so I think I will not commit the same mistake.

I always wear my seat belt and when I have my grand children in the car with me I make sure they have their seat belts on. It is the law here and it is for their safety. I have also told others to buckle up their children especially when I see them riding in the car without a seat belt. I was talking to a guy the other day with his grand child in the car and he didn't have on his seat belt. I hurried and told him that he was going to get in trouble if he didn't make him wear his seat belt. He said he tells him that but he doesn't like his seat belt and that he had gotten a ticket before because of that.

I will not do that while I am driving, but if they get out of their seat I will pull over and redue their belt. I don't think I have ever had a problem with this my kids usually stay in their seat belts. Once I think I had to pull over and redue the seat belt, but that was when my oldest was still in a carseat. I realized he knew how to get out of it so I just went and bought a different carseat with the 5 harness buckle. They work great so that is what I have gotten with all my kids after that.

I always wear seat belt even in those areas where i know no policeman would be around in ten miles because i read autobiography of Lee Iococa (EX president of Ford motor co. & ex president of chrysler motor co. usa) and he said it is the cheapest and best safety device in auto industry and everyone should wear it all the time and yes if i have kids with me i make sure they are properly belted.

I do not have any children yet but once i do they are going to behave themselves in the car. Cars are dangerous machines moving very fast and they are only made worse by children horse playing in the back.

I will not start our car unless every one has their seat belts on!!!! That is a major rule in our house and has been for years. even before it was law.

Yes YEs Yes. My kids are in their carseats, buckled in at all times in the car. I wear my seatbelt and my passanger wears theirs. its only safe. There are crazy drivers out there, and there is no reason to not be safe. A car after all is a ton of metal that could kill us right. So the safer we are the better.
