What's the oldest thing you have in your wardrobe closet?

It was another random thought this morning when I was walking to class. I have this blue cotton zip-up I use whenever I feel a little cold, and I was looking at myself as I was walking past the windows in the open area of our building when I realized that I had that thing since I was nine. I remember buying it in SM Harrison in November, back in the nineties. It stood through the years because I wear it on a total regular basis, and I just don't have the heart to throw it away. They don't make clothes like that anymore. How about you?

The oldest thing is the dress I had when I was christened almost 36 years ago :-) I never wears it anymore - but two of my children have worn it when they got christened when they were babies. It's a really nice homemade dress worn by many children at their christening after me - so it means a lot to me!

Oh my, that's just so sweet. But--you said it's 36 years old. So you must have restored it and everything, right? I mean like--36-year-old fabric wouldn't probably feel that good.

No, it's as good as new. I haven't done anything about it. It's made of cotton yarn croqued (don't know the spelling of that word...)

Wow. I don't know what Indian Salwar Kameez is, but I'm sure it's something good if your friends are totally raving about it.

Hi chance, other than the all the clothes we put on nowadays there are still other stuffs we keep in the wardrobe. Yeah I remember the oldest one in my wardrobe is the old mosquito net in pink color. But we haven’t used it to keep away those disgusting blood suckers anymore. We have fixed on the iron mosquito gauze on all the windows of our house long time ago. The old mosquito net is quite durable and it is still very good in its condition. It is the gift from my late uncle so we do not throw it away, and collect it as a form of antique as well as a commemoration of my beloved uncle too. I take it out and hang on the rail under the sun once in a while so that it won't get spoiled easily. Happy posting and have a nice day.

I still have some cloth from my mum's youth. So, I would say the oldest cloth I own is about 30-35 years old. My mum used to sew her own cloth and believe it od not, they are still trendy!

Oh, wow! That's good for you! Your mom must be touched that you're using her clothes. Sometimes I take clothes from my mom's closet and put it in mine, and then she laughs when she finds it in my closet. I have a thing for criticizing her clothes, but I end up wearing said clothes eventually.

I have to say 1/4 of my wardrobe are like the oldest ever. I love to keep old stuff because they are still useful to my wardrobe. I love mixing my oldest clothes to my newest thus making a new twist in my attire.. But I have to say I kep my skirt from when I was in first year high school and it still fits me.

I have a black, pretty basic tank top, that is 12 years old. I think that must be the oldest piece, that I have owned for 12 years (I have several vintage pieces that are older than that, but I did not own them for all that time, so I don't think it counts!). It's really flattering, still looks like new and I wear it a lot, so I really don't see a reason to get rid of it, even if it is that old!
