Have many hours of sleep do you need to feel rested?

I personally always have to sleep 9 hours in order to feel rested. I will sleep through the whole night without getting up. Unless I feel sick then I will wake up once in awhile. How many hours do you need to sleep to feel rested? I bet I am an odd ball.

Like you I have to have about nine hours of sleep a night to feel completely rested. Sometimes it takes me a long time to get to sleep and on those mornings I feel like I am dragging when the alarm clock goes off. I used to get sick at night a lot so I know what you mean. Now I take a medication that really helps with that.

Probably, I would say about 8 to 9 hours. Sometimes, I overslept like 10 to 12 hours but oversleeping just gives me a headache though 'can't help it sometimes. So yeah, 8 to 9 hours should be enough to keep me going through the day 'cause if not, I'm gonna need a whole lot of coffee.

More than I am getting now that is for sure...but a moms life doesnt get that much sleep, and I am such a light sleeper that I hear everything as I am sleeping, so I dont think I ever get fully rested...LOL oh well, one day I will get more sleep I am sure of it, some days I think I just crash and sleep solid through the night and those nights I get caught up on what I need.

It depends. If I get up at least twice a night to go the bathroom, i will usually need 8-9 hours of sleep to feel rested. If i sleep straight through the night, i'm good with just 6 hours of sleep.

[b]at least 4 hours, i am fine with that. but if i had quite a stressful and busy day..i need at least 6 hours of sleep. and when i am beaten with work all day...then an 8 hours of sleep is a must for me. lately having 4 hours of sleep is fine with me, having more than 6 hours of sleep, i feel so grumpy and it feels like i need to lie down a lil more.[/b]

9 hours of sleep would be amazing! IDK why but it seems like I can't go to sleep before midnight no matter how hard I try. And then on the weekends I sleep for like 12 hours. But I agree with you. 9 hours is about perfect. Any less and I am still tired and any more and I wake up feeling bad! Well I need to get to bed now if I am going to get 7 tonight. :(
