I have been staring at this picture of chocolate covered strawberries, salivating at the thought of tasting them! I haven't had them in ages! This is definitely something I am going to have to have! And, soon! lol With Valentines Day coming up, I am just curious as to how much these cost in different parts of the world. Where I live the bakery has them for $15.00 a pound. A local grocery store will have them the 13 and 14th only, for $9.99 a pound. Both places are way too high for my blood. All I can think is how many pounds could I make for $15.00. Don't worry, I wouldn't eat all them myself, but just imagine how many could be made for that price!!! And, you could definitely count on them being fresh! I can almost taste it! ok, I need to make some money - soon...I need strawberries, chocolate.......Anyway, back to the task at hand. How much are these going for where you live? Can't wait to see how much they are. Also, if you don't mind telling me "in the ball park" where you live, so I can see the difference from place to place. Curiosity killed the cat! lol

Its a good thing that fruits here are cheaper than in my country. So i have the chance to tell hubby to buy me a carton of strawberries and i will just simply use Hersheys Chocolate Syrup to top it with or maybe i could melt a cadbury plain chocolate to go along with it, hmmmmmmm yummy! I'm droolin' hehehe!

I had some chocolate covered strawberries the other day. super bowl night party. there was one of those chocolate things. i forget what its called at the moment. but it's cool. its like a water fall of chocolate. had some other fruit too like pineapple. thats real good dipped in chocolate. strawberries are maybe like $3-5.99? i'm not real sure haven't bought any in a while and chocolate isn't very much. $2-4 dollars. i would cost you under $10 to make some chocolate covered strawberries.

These are usually offered in hotels here in Manila. it can cost up to about Php 350++ a plate, specially if pure belgian chocolate was used. Another version of this is the fresh strawberries to be dipped in a chocolate fountain or fondue. Strawberries are basically expensive but UNREASONABLY expensive during Valentine's!LOL!
