baby sleeping - sleep

Usually before going to bed, I have to check if everything's in order. And I would just be able to go to bed when everyone here, my 2 kids and hubby, are already packed up and resting. But before sleeping I do watch television or sometimes I read a book or play the PSP, and while doing those I would feel very sleepy...then off to sleep...:) What do you usually do before sleeping?

LOL Nhey16. It's about the same way all over the world. I am single and not living with anyone but I still go around to make sure everything is in order. I may get on the comp for a while and surf. Maybe read a book. Lots of times I'll listen to some of my favorite music. That always does good late at night. I don't like watching TV or a movie cuz I might forget what I saw LOL. Sometimes I'll play a few online games especially poker. It's late here so I think I'll listen to some music ahhhhh. ‹(°¿°)›

hello jumpinjack00, oh yeah listening to good music before bedtime is so nice... and at times i do remember when i was still single and living with my parents, before going to bed, i don't have to worry about the doors if they're already locked, if all switches are unplugged, and that all i have to worry are my personal things :D

Hi Nhey! I do what I'm doing right now! It's 3:35am NY time and I'm still wide awake! I'm sitting here in my kitchen/office freezing because it is 16 degrees above zero and I can't sleep so I am starting to respond to today's discussions as they start filling up my email box! So I don't know what time it is where you are but I should have been in bed a long time ago! My boyfriend is going to be angry at me for staying up all night again! He is sleeping and has been for hours since he has to go to work! I hope you have a nice sleep! I hope to get there sooner or later!

I usually check the door to make sure it's locked, give our cat Morgana some tuna, check to make sure the burners are off on the stove and turn out the lights except the fishtank. I get on my jammies, tuck off to bed with Morgana and say my prayers. Then it's off to dreamland. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Yup, that's our Morgana...she's spoiled rotten :) She does love her tuna. Sometimes she'll play Hubby and me. I'll go in the kitchen and give her tuna and then 10 minutes later if Hubby goes in the kitchen she'll run in there acting like she hasn't had any in days and of course he gives her more. We've gotten to where we ask each other now. I've even had her come and wake me up for tuna when Hubby wouldn't give her any LOL He says she tattled on him for being up too late LOL ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

My routine before going to bed are: first I have to have a quick shower for I can't sleep with out washing myself, then I would still take time to go online especially if I haven't been online for the rest of the day due to work, Then i would put on a moisturizing cream to my face. LOL. i am aging so I have to take care of my face. , I pray, another routine that shouldn't be missed out, and sleep. this would be mu usual routine at nighttime.

That would be so lovely, sleeping next to your sweet girl. And I guess, no matter how tired you feel for the day, you'll feel happy and relaxed being with your daughter. :

My rituals varies on the event of the day. Most of the time, I am able to put my infant to bed at 7:30PM, let my older daughter and the roommate's son play around while I browse the internet. I will, then, send my oldest daughter to bed, and do last minute things online, then head to bed myself, but not to sleep. I would either crochet for a while or read a book. Sometimes I watch a movie while crocheting, other times I just watch a movie.

Well, my daughter is 10 and my roommate's son is 14. They're at that age where they would prefer that their parents do not participate in their play-time. They either game on the PS2 or pretend they are StarWars characters, complete with the laser sword, or whatever it is called, haha.

Hello Nhey16, Like you, I always make sure that everything is in order - the house is cleaned and all the three of us are ready to call it a day. For me, I will watch TV for awhile or read the newspaper (yes, this is the last thing to do for the day!)

Hi ya Nhey16 I always check that my front and back doors are locked, turn off all the lights before going upstairs. I visit the bathroom, check that the alarm clock is set and watch tv until I feel sleepy and then turn it off.

Usually before going to sleep I read anything that keep my eyes tired and after that I fell asleep. If there are no things to read I play chess alone and make some games all alone reviewing some of the openings and studying some interesting chess positions till my eyes dropped and fell asleep. That's it!

Usually before i go to sleep I have this big reutine! 6pm watch a movie with the kids that is 1 hour long. 7:00pm snack time 7:30 Kids get bath, by eight they are out of the bath in pj's. 8:00pm we rock in the rocking chair With one kid on each knee blanket wraped around them. Read a Story By 8:15 the baby goes in the crib to sleep. Then I lay down with my 3 year old for 15-30 min depending on her mood and how fast she goes to sleep. By 9pm both kids are asleep. I go do dishes, pick up the masacre of toys in my livingroom from the day. Throw a load of clothes in the washer. Then get a snack and by that time its 10pm im exhausted so i jump in the bed and watch mabie 10 min of tv. Unless hells kitchen is on Or House then i force myselft to stay up till its over. Then i litterly pass out!

I have little habit or nature of your, that I check everything is in order. I don't watch TV, but I do play my xbox 360 or any other gaming console that I own. I pack and set my books and bag, because I have to prepare everything for my university. Press my clothes, polish my shoes and the things which you know what students do. Except that I don't think I do anything special that I should mention.

You can call me Amjad. Thanks for your comments. Yeah, I have this habit for preparing for everything. I am responsible because in my early childhood, I passed my life alone with my dad only. No mom, so I had to my all my work. Everything, from making breakfast to washing my own clothes. lolz .... Thats yeah Now I live with my family yet I do my most of my work. Like I prepare everything before I sleep then wake up in morning, make up my own breakfast and revise little bit of university work. I believe in morning I have very fresh mind, when I revise what I studies last time, it becomes more solid. Then clean my room and (I don't reading newspaper, though i have an alternative which is internet, i surf news on internet. and eventually go to my university.

I am not a very good sleeper unfortunately, so these days I take the laptop to bed with me and watch movies until my eyes get tired and I eventually drift off to sleep. I have found this to be very effective in the last month or, so which is great because I used to lay there for hours before!

At night Im the last to bed as I make sure all is in order to start the next day off. I lock the front door, walk past our 2 year old and make sure she is covered up and whisper in her ear that I love her. Then I get into bed and read a little. The very last thing I do is pull the blankets up and around me and feel my hubby wrap his arm around me and we say love you. Then it is off to much needed sleep!

Almost the same. I do make sure that all doors are closed and locked. All the windows are checked as well. Recently I have watched TV before I go to bed because there is a good film on.If I am not sleepy enough to go to bed, I read my books till I noze on and off. Don't you check the kitchen jus in case you still have something being cooked.?

I organize my stuff and prepare things for when i wake up next day, have everything ready and set to go.Set alarm, turn off lights,go to bed,and then think:oh yeah...did i set the alarm? go check ,set alarm again just for safety,go to bed again and try not to think...it may seem as an obsessive compulsive behavior, but i just do this with my alarm, because i think too much(?)...anyways that's what i do...don't ask me why
