How many of you are vegetarians ? Some people think that having only vegetables does not give all the nutrients to the body. What is your opinion ? I dont beleive in it.. one can live a healthy life by having vegetarian food alone. How many of you agree with me?

I am a semi-vegetarian. I still eat eggs, dairy, and fish. It is possible to be a complete vergetarian. Incidentally some total vegetarians do not consider eggs a meat product. You should be able to get enough protein and b12 if you still include eggs in your diet

Hi Bohemian, Most vegetarians are semi vegetarians lol :)) but they don't realize it. They eat cakes and pastries from bakeries where they add eggs to it. But my aunts are complete vegetarians they don't even have food from outside but still fit and healthy at the age of 70. But they consider dairy products as veg.

I became vegetarian when I was four years old. I was told that I was eating an animal by sister, five years older than myself, and that horrified me. We had pet cats and she asked if I would eat one of them. She said that all animals have feelings and as I got older I saw how factory farming treated animals. I began to give up cow's milk and look at ingredients listed on different products. I started to go in the direction of a vegan diet. I gradually become a vegan. I drink soya drink and it has good nutrients in it. I eat lots of fruit, vegetables and nuts. I have excellent health. Every year in a city near me there is a vegan festival. It has seminars that show how super healthy the vegan diet is. I have to make sure I have enough Iron and Vitamin B12 then I will stay really healthy.

What your sister told is very true maximax. Animals also have feelings pain like as humans. Just imagine someone slautering us. I'm a vegetarian by birth.Because my parents grand parents are all vegetarians. But I'm not completly a vegan coz I have dairy products. But I avoid buying leather goods made of animal skins.

I am also a semi-vegan as I eat 'vegetarian' eggs.I gave up non-veg at a very young age itself as I couldn't tolerate the mass killing of animals for the sake of food, and not to mention the large amount of cruelties inflicted upon animals. And as for the nutrients, vegetarian diet has all types of nutrients necessary, and it is also good health wise.Eating large amount of meat is well known to cause ailments like heart attack and other problems at old age. So,in all terms vegetarian diet rocks!

If someone sees the slautering of animals then they definitely start thinking of becoming a vegetarian. As I told earlier I know lot of people who are vegetarians and live a healthy life. My grandfather was a vegetarian and he led a very healthy life and passed away at the age of 98. If you have a balanced vegetarian diet then there is no need to take supplements as well.

I saw a video about what took place in a Lebonese slaughter house. That was my first step towards vegetarianism. I also started having some pretty bad digestive problems. I gave up eating meat and poultry and the symptoms went away
