I can wear whatever I like at work. No restriction at all but for receptionists, they have to wear uniform. I can wear a vest, slippers, sandles , knee-long shorts, the more modern the better it is appreciated.

Uniforms for certain professions have become part of the identity, which makes it easier for the wearer to be recognized in their post. And it helps to creat a standardized environment for the customers or client, so that they feel the trustworthy from the service they receive. For pupils, uniforms might be an attempt to help them to concentrate on learning instead of distraction to dressing, which is mostly more expensive if the parents intend to dress their children superior to their classmates. But at weekends, parents had better allow their daughters to wear what they like, to satisfy their desire to be personalized.
