I have some items I want to sell on eBay, how do I go about it, is there a cost to it, are there any things I should know in getting started in selling and shipping the items sold on eBay. Any help is appreciated. Thank You

Selling on eBay is free, although I don't know if there are other services that require payments. First, of course, is you register an account. Then take pictures of what you will be selling. Then upload those pictures to your account. Put descriptions, how much starting bid price do you like and the expiration of your bid. Take time to read on Ebay's guide to setting up your auction.

Really, I have listed on Ebay.ph and I've never paid a single thing. Maybe there's an account for paid listings and for free listings. There are some limitations though on my account because for example if I have to put more than three pictures for the item, I have to pay a fee. But if you work out to be within those limitations, you can still post an auction on Ebay.

It's fairly easy to set up an account for ebay. I just used my pay pal account for payment. It is free to set up an account and browse, bid, and buy; but to sell an item on ebay it will cost you a little. For instance I listed a cell phone for a minimun of 19.99 with 6.95 shipping for 7 days and it cost me .55 to list it. The main problem I have with ebay is that it has gotten so big that anything you sell is not going to get a very good price. If anyone has had any luck selling on ebay I would like to hear about their experience.

yeah everyone has to make a few pennies off everyone it seems. I have seen the pages and pages of listings so I would figure it's a really hard way to sell and get what you want. I might just stay away from there after all.

I haven't sold anything in ebay yet, but my friends who have did mention that you have to verify with your CC each time you sell something on ebay. But it looks like it'll be easy to sell things there. You just need a paypal account that's verified and i dont think there's any fees for it, as paypal takes the 2.5% fee for every transaction as usual. Good luck. Happy mylotting.

I still have not got into eBay but was told you can even get items from them to sell or even keep somehow, as for paypal, I have only been charged when I received a payment a small amount and I thought it had a cap on that as well but I have not been charged anything for any of the debits (charges) from the account. Thanks guys. Although I did find another way to sell. I found a free website creator with all the bells and whistles and started my own business. LOL it's still in the construction state "so to speak" because I have so many things to put up on it. But I'll get there. Happy Mylotting.

Sign up to ebay, fill in all the information it asks you, and configure the options. Sign up for Paypal, get your account verified, also register your bank account to Paypal. Find something you want to sell, take a good picture of it (this is very important). Upload it to ebay and add a good detailed description. Ensure you have the item in the correct category and your item has a good long title. Make sure your price isn't too high to start with and if your item does sell, message the winner and send them an invoice (ebay does this automatically anyway). Get their address and send the item to them once they have paid (they will probably pay with Paypal). Do not send the item before payment! You will be charged ebay fees for listing the item and again for selling the item (Final value fee). Paypal will also deduct some of your earnings as a trade off for using their free service (usually about 3% of the payment).
