Would you use Lulu or Create Space to publish your books?

I have been considering using Lulu for publishing my books but I do not know how could they are say compared to other print on demand publishers like Amazon's Create Space. Would you use Lulu or Create Space?

No, my friend is a local publisher, his publishing press is called "Spineless Books", and the books he releases through it are superbly written, not to mention beautifully bound (or unbound).....I am unfamiliar with books published through Lulu and Create Space. Is it your desire to publish for yourself that makes you want to use one of these publishers? Have you already sent copies of your books to the more commonplace publishers?

Traditional publishers are very hard to get to read your materials if you are not well known or if you have not sold enough of your work. Many will not even look at your materials without an agent as a go between. I like to maintain the rights to my work so I tend to use a none traditional publisher. I market my own work. Does your friend have a website I could check out?
