Work From Home Scams

I have been searching and searching for a place where I can get some online work. Not PTC or survey's. I have been looking at tonnes of these Data Entry jobs. But it is digusting that they want me to pay them to get some work. Obviously, it is a scam. But I was wondering if anyone has actually found any place where they haven't had to pay for a membership fee and have actually gotten paying work online. I have recently become quite ill, and it is starting to interfere with my ability to get in to the office everyday. And unfortunately, my employer considers me to be "abusing sick time" so I don't get paid for any of my time away. Any tips?
