How old were you when you found out who you really were?

Although I am still in high school, I've been playing at shows in front of hundreds of people since I was 13 years old, and I still get just as excited as the first time whenever I step on stage. I know that music will be in my life until I die. Whether it be your career, hobby, or lifestyle, how old were you when you found out what kind of person you were?

I found out that I was born to play music when I was very young. I started playing different instruments and had always loved performing, and I think I always kind of knew in the back of my mind that those things were a part of who I was. I found peace in life through writing songs and singing and playing guitar in front of large groups of people. I learned that nothing else made me happy in that way. I never felt more comfortable doing anything than I did when I was on stage with a guitar playing songs that I had written. I believe that some people have to search longer in order to find what they like to do, or what their gift is, but I was lucky. I am now in college and I see that there are many people who are working towards careers, but they have no idea what they want to do in life, or who they are.

If you're talking about getting to know your real talent, for me it was just recently, in my 3rd year in college. I love talking on the stage, and i love orating, taking seminars, teaching, and giving speeches. It may sound like a boring talent, but i feel i'm really alive when i'm able to communicate well with my audience. Its exciting to pick the perfect jokes that go well with your topic, so that even the most boring topic can seem interesting. I really love watching dancing onstage, and singing and playing instruments as well. Unfortunately i dont have the talent for any of them as i never practiced when i was in junior or high school. Its good to know you found your place on the stage as well. Happy mylotting.
