Do you avoid saying "NO" to spare others feelings? Do you think before answering a question? Why is it imporant to please others?

Well, this has been the greatest weakness in me that I was not able to say 'no' when necessary. But now have slowly changed myself and started saying a 'no' if at all I found that not suiting my purpose. Now I do not see the face nor relation, if I felt I needed not I said no. And this has freshen me up a lot. I feel all should develop this trait. It is better to settle the deal there and then.

I have a big problem saying "no" to people to spare their feelings. Im very bad when it comes to "hurting" peoples feelings. Sometimes, I say "yes" when I really need to say "no" so I don't get into trouble...but I just can't. I don't always thinking before answering a question. It all depends on what the question is on and what exactly Im trying to answer, I guess. But I don't always think before answering a question. It's important for me to please others because that is how I was raised. I was always taught to treat people how I want to be treated, so it's really hard to hurt someone's feeling (to me) because that isn't how I would want to be treated.
