What do you think about hair dye?

I am about to dye my hair a dark red colour. I last done it at christmas and already it looks awful. I wish i could leave it its natural colour but my roots are going white and I am only 36, should I grow old gracefully or try and hide the grey? :0)

I used to dye my hair to dark brown but it gave a lot of lot of to my hair, it made it really dry and light. I cut off lots of inches because of that. So I haven't dyed my hair for a long time.
If I were you, I would just let it grow in a good condition.

I can't let it grow, seriously it is so grey that I look washed out and old :0( But thanks for your help :0)x
