don't know how the rest of the world will hear about the bush fires out here, but they're bad. one started nearly a month ago now, not far from where we used to live down the bottom of the state. my mum friend sent pics of it you could see the smoke, and it was sorta only over the hill from where they live. far as i know that ones been put out. then we had all the others start up, it's been horra story. another musta been started not far from another friends house, they've got burnt leaves in their garden. then on the north east side of melbourne just about all the hills are going up. there's a lot of bush there, we drive through there when we go down to gippsland (area of victoria) you diffently don't want to be caught in something like it. heat is easier to put up with than the rotten wind we've got here this morning and it's not just a brezze. they were saying on the new last night that their expecting the deaths to be in the hundred's, and it's gone past the ash wednesday of 83 and ash friday of 1939. i know this is a fact in life, but when the greens make so you can't get in and do things to help prevent this sort of thing getting out of control, it's extermley dry so that doesn't help the cause but they were saying a number of fires were lit on purpose, which isn't nice. any one else been in a simluar/same situation. what are your thoughts.

i use to live in vitoria, melbourne its a nice place with great people, hope the remaining people can flee to safety. i just called some family i have there and they mentioned it was 50 degrees celcius so the weather is not helping the situation. i hope Allah sends them rain like last time. last time, fire-fighters were fighting the balze fo days non-stop but still hadnt controled the fire yet, then all of a suddend it began raining and the fire was put out. shows the mercy of Allah doesnt it.

i'm a new south welsh men now. we've lived just over the border for 20 yrs. we can only pray for rain, and that it comes. there's nothing on the forecast for it, which is the problem. don't think rain dances are helping either. we got this 5 minute down pour yesterday morning and it was like wow, apart from the fact there was lightning and thunder around. it's been staying over 40 most days since school went back, but we've had a rotten summer down here. actually what we got yesterday morning may have been the first i've seen rain drops in well over a month, don't rember. mum's got close friends down, in gippsland, at mirboo north. from what i could understand of the pics she was sent. it was only over the hill from the town. my heart goes out to those who've lost everything, and many didn't get time to grab things before they had to go. a friend got stuck in yarra glen when they went home to get their cats, and take them to back to her mums place at lillydale. the fire aparntley came up to their back fence. lets all pray mother nature to give us a break and put out these fires so, people can re build their lives
