You're working airport security...

So you just started your new job working airport security, and a woman comes through with a bottle of water that you have to confiscate. She makes a big fuss and says to you, "Do I Look like a terrorist? I have blonde hair and blue eyes. Terrorists don't have blonde hair and blue eyes!". How do you respond to that?

How would I respond? "Just doin my job lady, sorry, but the rules are the same for everybody".

I think I would be trained for the job to completely ignore remarks like that and continue on as planned. Security is about more than just terrorists.

Inform her that terrorists come in all shapes and sizes.. Make her drink some of the water in front of you... Then let her move on. That is what they did with my brother in law.. but he did not make a comment like that. Just insisted to take his water with him. - DNatureofDTrain

About a bomb scare, honestly a terrorists is not just looks like Arabian or any ideal terrorist, it can be with different personality just to hide their plan. My response to that is that I am just following a procedure and I have to do my job, I have to do my job so as to help other people including you to be secure in that place you will be going. I will also say that I am not judging her but following the procedure , I am not intending to hurt her feelings.
