Wedding Receiving Line

I recently went to a wedding, that instead of having a receiving line in the back of the church, the bride and groom came down the aisle after the wedding service, and dismissed each row, one by one. What is your thought on this? Would you rather have a receiving line at the back of the church, to be able to greet the couple in your own timeframe; or be the person in one of the back pews, watching and waiting for your turn?

I would want to stand at the back and be greeted by people instead of dismising them. Some people may not want to go through the line or have to leave early. I'd do the line myself.

I think that I like the recieving line idea better...I would get impatient standing there waiting for people to move out of the pew...
