i dont like to eat foods without spices for me its really boring without that. i eat spicy foods everyday. for example the sauce i should put red chili at least 5pcs and the soup at least three and i really enjoy eating it. its my best appetizer really. i just wonder if spicy foods can affect to our health. in what particular parts of the body it may affect?

Hello cupcyke Sorry guys I can not take spicy foods as spicy food irritates me and also cause health hazardous. It is also true that without spicy you can not get tasty food but keeping in view the health condition I prefer to eat non-spicy foods. pkc3000

Hi cupcyke! Have plenty of spicy food if you dont have ulcer or other intestinal disease. When they cannot harm your mouth , how can they harm your other body parts? They infact protect us from many disases, especially capsicum. And since you are fond of red chili, let me enlist its health benefits. It contains capsiacin which is a proven pain reliever for arthritis, cayenne in chili reduce cholestrol and fight free radicals, clears nasal congestion if you have cold.Beta carotene in it boost immunitychili is proven to prevent ulcer by making the stomach produce protective juices which kills bacteria responsible for producing it.It also helps to reduce weight and lowers the risk of ttype 2 diabetes. Being an Indian I too like spicy food.

I like spicy food very much. But I think that the health problem I am facing is more because of this.I suffer from acidity often and I guess it is a result of my eating too much of spicy food during a particularly long period of about 2 years. It was then that I started getting these acidity related health problems.I still continue to do so inspite of having lessened my spicy food intake. However I can't avoid it altogether and hence will consume it though in small quantities.

I think it will. 5 pieces of red chillies....I can't think of it. (I am a non-eater of spices or mild-eater) When I eat something much spicy, it immediately upsets my stomach. In those conditions, I just settle with Curd Rice for one full day. So I avoid taking spicy foods. Occasionally, I would want to eat spicy. On those days nothing happens. I don't know why. I'm sure it's not because of my mindset. Because, even if I don't remember what I ate, I felt that acidic feeling on the days when I take spicy foods.

I think too much chili will do harm and it causes piles or hemorroids. The doctor once warned my cousin who really likes eating chili to stop eating chili spicy foods for a month then if he still wants to eat just minimize the spicy food or chili as long he take his medication.
