I will either spend Valentine's Day here in myLot or I'll simply be relaxing as I have a Social Security disability hearing coming up the day before Valentine's Day and I'll probably be very exhausted from the stress and anxiety this is causing me. My husband is a true NON-romantic. He doesn't like celebrating any kind of holiday, which I find so sad, especially because I LOVE celebrating for any reason whatsoever! We went out to lunch two years ago at a Denny's restaurant (how's that for romance? NOT!) and did nothing last year. I'm not even going to buy him a card this year. It hurts when the efforts one makes are not reciprocated. One year, about 3 years ago, I bought a bunch of romantic candles and made my husband his favorite meal for dinner. I put on one of his favorite DVD movies. It was so nice... for HIM. I received nothing. So, I'll be doing a lot of myLotting that day or just spend it vegetating in front of the TV. I've had so much to do, and have a lot still left to do, before Friday since I'm going to this hearing without a lawyer. I probably won't want to do anything even if a miracle happened and my husband suddenly became romantic! I would LOVE to go to a nice steakhouse for dinner, but I strongly doubt that will happen. Valentine's day for me has become like any other day. Sad, huh?

Oops, I just remembered that the Denny's restaurant lunch took place on our anniversary, not on Valentine's Day. Nope, can't remember ever going out with my husband on Valentine's Day.

You're so very right! My parents and only sibling are deceased, but I do have my two children... grown children, but children just the same. If my husband decides he doesn't want to do anything special, I'll take my boys out to dinner. Thanks so much for reminding me!!!

I probably won't be doing anything special for valentines day. Last year we didn't do anything either. With 6 kids we can't ever find a sitter so we hardly ever get to go out. Usually the weekends we don't have all the kids it is easier to find someone to watch them but this isn't the weekend. Hopfully we can find something nice to do though.

a chat with my boyfriend, since he is in australia and im here in phili, that would be nice and we already doing it 4 years in a row. We will celebrate valentine day when we meet this year and yes that will be a great moment for us (even though its late valentine celebration in april or may 2009) . Hahahaha i will be happy .I think we all need to celebrate valentine day everyday. Love doesnt need exact day to celebrate. its not february 14, but its everyday and lets all think of that. Lets remind our parents how we are blessed to have them too in this life. Happy mylotting!!!

I don't have a plan and I'm not going to have a plan. This year, all that makes me contented is to go home right away after work cause I need good rest and a lot of fun are waiting for me at home. And as to shopping, I would rather find another day cause I hate to shop in a crowded store. Shopping is part of pleasure, so I don't want my enjoyment be spoilt. Believe it or not, I won't feel any regret or uneasy of my plan for 14th.
