do we really have good friends or best friends??

So many people quote their colleagues as friends or best friends. Sometimes we also call our classmates as friends even though youre not close to each other. Do we really have friends or best friends who are indeed will be there for you when you need them???or its just a common term for folks who are known to us.

friends are not defined by those who are around me, but are defined by me. I can consider you as a friend though you hated me and for you I am an enemy. see, I decide who I consider as friend. It's up to me to choose... friends are not made by their parents, but are chosen by me. friends are like opinions, though you, they don't like it as long as I believe in it, it is valid.

I think that if you work with someone than you can tell if you want to be friends with them so it is your choice to become best friends. I don't think you should call them your best friend if you have only know each other at work. When you met people at work you have to take them out of that setting to somewhere that you can express yourself.
