It is my first time reading the bible from the very beginning. In GENESIS, there are two names ----GOD and LORD GOD. But what is the difference?

^_^ Howdy!.... jules7!.... They are the same it just added the title "Lord" for God. "Lord" for a title is a person who has general authority or master over others. A noble or nobleman. An almighty, creator. There's this another name the great "I am". Coz God's name "I am" is always within our name and God is always within us. ^_^ God bless!.... Peace!.... Thanks!.... and Enjoy!.... myLot!....

hi! as based on my readings on the holy bible, it only refers to one God alone, to God the Father. it may only vary on how the word God and Lord God is used in the Bible. if its about worship the Bible uses Lord God but if the statement refers to the instructions of the writer as stated on the Bible it says God. it is the same like saying joe and mr joe in which the caller is referring to the same person.

God meant creator and ruler of the universe, "Lord" is an additional word we proclaim further to acknowledge God as the one who has authority control and power over us. They are both meant the same
