I Got A Star....! But How Does This Work?

Yahoo... Guys I just noticed that I got an star added above my avatar(Image). Last time when I saw, it was 7 and now its 8. So, I wonder how does this star work. I mean why and when they are added to our account and who does this. Can you help me here...I saw many Mylotters have 10, 12 or 13 stars.. how do they do it. Getting that many stars would be really tough I suppose...
